Hours of Work:
Monday – Thursday: 7.30 – 3.30
Friday: 7.30 – 2.30
Homeworking:
This role is not availble for hybrid working and is subject to a 6 month probation period.
Roxel is an Anglo-French Company that designs, develops and manufactures a range of solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles. Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France and it has an annual turnover of about £100M and nearly 700 staff, with 250+ in the UK.
The UK operations are located at Summerfield near Kidderminster and it is here we are excited to offer an opportunity for a fix terms contract for a Commercial Plumber.
Reporting to the Boiler House Manager and responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of site domestic water systems. The role is to provide a general plumbing service within an industrial building environment, while upholding company safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- General plumbing and heating repairs
- Installations and remedial works: repairs, replacements.
- Maintenance: Domestic water systems, electric water heaters, calorifiers, domestic internal drainage.
- Carry out scheduled PPM works.
- Carry out urgent reactive works.
- Have the ability to work with various pipe materials, including copper, steel, plastic etc.
- Adhere to current water and building regulations
Requirements
The successful candidate should demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Proven hands on experience as a plumber or pipe fitter ideally with commercial/industrial experience.
- Good knowledge on Legionella awareness
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Computer Literate
- Be able to complete an enhanced DBS check.
- The ability to understand, translate and follow technical drawings
Qualifications
- C&G NVQ Level 2 Plumbing or relevant plumbing qualification.
- IPAF and PASMA desirable.
- Driving licence
- Asbestos awareness
