My job

In my role at Roxel I am responsible for the development and qualification activities for rocket motors as well as being the technical liaison for the project, both within the business and with the customers. I work with the various teams within the business to design and demonstrate a new rocket motor which is robust and capable of meeting the customer’s performance requirements.

My background

I completed my Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering before joining Roxel from university. While working at Roxel I have built upon my knowledge from university and learned new skills along the way which have enabled me to attain Chartered status with the Royal Aeronautical Society.

My motivations

Working on development projects requires a combination of office and shop-floor time to prepare assets for testing and to understand any manufacturing difficulties. This combination disciplines and the technical challenge of finding that extra bit of performance for the customer is why I enjoy this role and is what can make it particularly rewarding.
