08.00-16.30 Monday to Thursday (30mns lunch break)
08.00-13.00 Friday (no lunch break)

Roxel UK are excited to be in partnership with MBDA to launch its 2025 Graduate scheme. Roxel is an Anglo-French Company that designs, develops, and manufactures a range of solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles used by the Defence industry.

Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France. The main UK operations are located at Summerfield near Kidderminster in the West Midlands.

 

Overview & Scope of role

 

The two-year Graduate programme will typically involve providing support in the creation and management of commercial contracts as well as interfacing with customers to manage bids from strategy review to contract acceptance. The role will give you valuable hands-on experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to deliver against key commercial business targets.

Duties & Responsibilities during the Graduate Scheme

 

You will be aligned to a support business area within Roxel. During your two-year programme, your role will involve rotations in teams such as HR, Finance, Health & Safety, Procurement, Communication. During your graduate scheme, your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Support for creation and management of commercial contracts as well as interfacing with customers to manage bids from strategy review to contract acceptance.
  • Support and understanding of negotiation of Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements and other contracting arrangements with Customers and Suppliers covering the supply of Materials and Services;
  • Support to the management of the Roxel Supplier base to include supplier selection and approval and Implementation of the Make/Buy policy in formulating Strategic Sourcing Frameworks
  • Manages the interfaces with customers and manages bids from strategy review to contract acceptance in line with the Roxel process and achieves a defined contribution to Roxel UK’s order intake.
  • Responsibility for your own smaller projects as well as providing support to other members of the team for larger strategic bids and contracts.
  • Working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to deliver against key commercial business targets.
  • Internal and external communications, including working with a third-party provider to manage social media channels.
  • Support day to day specific tasks and manage assigned projects with business support areas
  • Support in creation of the business policy
  • Support month end processes
  • Working with a range of people including project managers, project engineers and stakeholders

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

 

  • Essential Qualifications
  • A minimum 2.2 Business Degree (or equivalent)

  • Applicants should be proficient and confident, self-motivated and keen to learn.
  • A team player with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with both internal colleagues and external customers at all levels.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to competently conduct meetings/presentations at all levels within the business and with external customers.
  • Of an enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and dedicated disposition coupled with a desire to develop and utilise new and current skills to the benefit of the business.
  • Able to develop a sound understanding of internal and external customer bid processes including the construction and justification of financial data.
  • A passion to deliver on projects and show responsibility and drive.
